Time in Weimar

Today finds me at Beth and Mark's in Weimar.  I was a little concerned about the weather, and possible complications because of weather conditions.  But...all is well!  It has been sunny, moderate, pleasant.

The reason for the concerns is that just before driving here, we had had a bad weather front move through.  Lots of complications at home (Cottonwood fifth-wheel....more later on that), and there was 11 inches of snow here, with a frozen pipe and no electricity for a day or so.  However, all that was taken care of before I arrived on Tuesday.

I have been able to finish up my Christmas letter and get it into the mail.  This year's picture was a little out of the ordinary.  Actually, the whole year has been an exceptional one.  I guess that's to be expected as we travel through this world.

I'm reminded more and more that 'this world is not my home, I'm just a travelin' through'.

Here goes!!

Too bad I didn't actually post when I was traveling, but then it seemed I was too busy.

However, I did just get home from a short trip to Fresno for memorial services for a special niece.  It was a quick trip, but a daughter accompanied me, making a sad trip much more enjoyable.  The services were beautiful and a real tribute to a life well-lived, if ended much too soon.  It was such a comfort to hear all the memories which were shared.
